Strive Masiyiwa
We all like to say,
we want to "save" time; in reality it is not possible to "save" time. We
all get 24 hours each day, you cannot take 6 hours today, and put them
into tomorrow, so that tomorrow, you have 30 hours!
You actually never get a second chance to spend today. And time waits for no one.
Pastor AR Bernard.

When the Israelites were in the wilderness, God gave them something
called "manna" for food; it fell once in the morning, and they were
required to gather and eat it only on that day. They could not "save" it
for tomorrow. I like to treat each day, like manna; I have to spend
today, today, because I do not get a chance to spend today, tomorrow.
It matters, how you use the time available to you each day, if you want to be a success.
My teenage children, like to use the expression, "chilling out", and
I'm always warning them about "unaccounted time". This does not mean,
you cannot relax, and enjoy yourself, but it must be within a discipline
of effective time management.
I never want to hang around with people, with no sense of time. The Tentmaker, said:
Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.” (1 Corinthians 15 : 33).
Good friends are not only those who say, "let's go to the movies", but
also those who come and say, things like, "there is this book, I have
been reading... There is this course I have been doing, let's do it
together...". Good friendship, requires, you and them, to be pushing
(each other), to go to a higher level, through persistence and
determination.
King David, as a young man said, I don't want to hang around with guys, who moan, criticise, and scoff at things.(Psalm 1).
Along with "effective time management", is the importance of developing
your personal productivity. Put another way, you must "work smart, as
you work hard." This is so important as your responsibilities in life
grow. I'm always pushing myself, to get higher levels of productivity
from myself. I'm always saying to myself, how can I do this more
efficiently, so that I can get more done, because, I cannot spend today,
tomorrow!
